WHY PANASONIC ???: Panasonic is the only remaining core manufacturer of notebook computers. Panasonic not only manufactures most of the major parts used in the Toughbook, but also assembles the Toughbook notebook itself. This is as opposed to the practice of outsourcing the parts and farming off assembly to a third party manufacturer as in the case of Dell. They not only believe in their products but back it up with a 3-Year International Manufacturer Warranty in the case of brand-new product. This is not an extra optional warranty but is included on all their Toughbook Notebook Computers.
